Ekta didnt like how he (Rakshak Sahni) was enacting Kavya so he was replaced with Eijaz who did a fab job IMO. Him and Anita were also dating at that time so not sure if that was also one of the reason for his role as Kavya. Regardless, Ekta always had eyes for a really good looking lead pair and she won here too. Anita-Eijaz had great chemistry. I loved Amrita's acting in it too although her role was made quite cliché.

On topic: I love love loved the show's title song. It was definitely one of the best of those times!
