Big B to pray for Ash, Abhi, Amar
Mirzapur: After Santakmochan Temple in Kashi Vishwanath, the Big B is now heading to Vindhyanchal in UP and the sleepy town of Mirzapur is abuzz with the news.
The large presence of policemen a giveaway on what it will be like when superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his family arrive in the town with bosom pal Amar Singh on Saturday.
There are seven helipads that have been set up to facilitate the special landing of 14 VIPs including CM Mulayam Singh Yadav. There is also a bunglow that has undergone a major facelift for the high-profile guests.
The guests will attend a community wedding organised to mark Amar Singh's birthday.
But is it only for the birthday bash or for a visit to this temple that the Bachchans are here?
The family has been seeking divine help for some time now to bypass a cosmic trouble reportedly surrounding the Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding.
"There is nothing like that, but the wishes of all devotees get fulfilled," says Pandit of Vindhyavasini Temple, Rajan Pathak
While fans in the city might be a happy lot, local traders are not all that amused. The police have ordered shops to shut down during the visit of the superstars. Therefore it is more of a question of livelihood for them more than a sneak peak at their Bollywood idols.
"It's a matter of our livelihood. Once they come we will have to shut our shops," a trader says.
"It's good to get a glimpse of stars but we will have to keep our shops closed," another trader adds.
"Once the stars arrive roads will be blocked and it will be difficult for everyone including the other devotees," another trader says.
So the Bachchan's spree to please the gods and goddess continues and while the visit has been perfectly timed to Amar Singh's birthday, sources tell us that a ceremony for Ash and Abhishek is also on the programme
