Delay in Filmare Awards 2022?

Filmare Awards are normally conducted within first couple of months every year.

But this year, there are no nominations out yet. Is it because, most films were released directly on OTT last year? Have they cancelled the ceremony for this year?

Following are my predictions though:- (not including OTT releases)

Best Actor (Popular) - Ranveer Singh for 83

Best Actress (Popular) - Jhanvi Kapoor for Roohi (only moderately succesfully female-led 2021 film)

Best Film - Sooryavanshi (Literally the only BW film that made money in theaters last year)

Best Director - Abhishek Kapoor (Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui)

Best Supporting Actor - Tahir Raj Bhasin for (83)

Best Supporting Actress - Lara Dutta (Bell Bottom)

Best actor (Critics) - Salman Khan (Antim: The Final Truth)

Best Actress (Critics) - Kangana Ranaut (Thalaivii)😆OR Vaani Kapoor (Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui)

Best Debut Male - Ahan Shetty (Tadap) OR no award lol😆

Best Debut Female- Sharvari Wagh (Bunty Aur Babli 2)😵 OR no award lol

I actually find my own predictions quite unpleasent this time because 2021 was an absolutely ridiculous year for the industry. There were several good films, but they went directly to OTT.

If I include them, then the outcome changes completely.

Best Actor (Popular) - Sidharth Malhotra for Shershaah (tied-with) Vicky Kaushal for Sardar Udham

Best Actress (Popular) -Vidya Balan for Sherni

Best Film - Sardar Udham

Best Director - Anand L. Rai for Atrangi Re

Best Supporting Actor - Pankaj Tripathi for Mimi

Best Supporting Actress - Tanvi Azmi for Tribhanga

Best Actor (Critics) - Vikrant Massey for Haseen Dillruba

Best Actress (Critics) - Parineeti Chopra for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar

I have also been wondering what's causing the delay. I was so desperate that I even started following Jitesh Pillai on Instagram. But that lasted about a week.

Maybe they were waiting for a date after the big Ranalia wedding?? Also:

- They have the NOMINATIONS voting on their website currently!! I voted last week!!

- The Bangla Filmfare Awards are on this Saturday night, so I suspect an announcement is imminent..

Do people still care for Filmfare? For mediocre dance performances, cringey hosting and paid awards? Wow.

No separate categories for OTT & Theatrical releases in 2021. So Vicky Kaushal & Siddharth Malhotra(critics) for best actor trophy is 99.99% , kriti sanon(mimi) best actress. Vaani(CKA) & Saara(AtrangiRe) tie critics best actress. Best film 83. Best film(critics) : Shershah. Best director: sujit sarkar(sardar udham). Best supporting actor : pankaj tripathi( mimi or 83), best supporting actress : sai tamhankar (mimi)

The only one I’m iffy about is best actress. Will they give Kriti the popular and Vidya or Sanya Malhotra (she had a great year) the critic’s? Or will the popular go to Kiara? I do think Shershah will win big and that might include both acting leads. If that happens will the critic’s automatically go to Kriti? Or will she be ignored all together?
