Anyone watched Badhai Do?

I watched it and liked it. A sensitive, well-meaning movie. I think it's better than both Ek Ladki Ko Dekha and Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan, though I liked the former, but it didn't do justice to the theme.

Rajkumar Rao is fantastic in the movie, and Bhumi is also pretty good.

I think we need more movies like this, which handle the theme of queer love in a realistic, sensitive, and nuanced manner.

At times, you could feel the pain of the characters, it was depicted in such a heartfelt manner.

Would definitely recommend it to all of you.

Yup - And loved it too!

I would say the best LGBTQ+ movie to have come outta BW - No loud stereotypical characters. Rather focuses on two individuals and their journey to lead their respective lives on their terms. A very made movie, wonderful acting by RKR and supported by some of the talented side actors. Bhumi was decent too but she comes off monotonous in most of her movies!

I felt that too. She needs to do something different.

The girl who played Bhumi's lover was actually the surprise package of the film. She was really good!

I loved Badhai Ho, it can't be compared with Badhai Do. Both are as different as chalk from cheese.

Badhai Ho was a fun comedy with a social message, Badhai Do is a film about queer love with healthy doses of comedy to make it more palatable to the mainstream audience.

Just did the other day on Netflix. Loved it. I love this wave of movies based on small town Indians. They just have a very authentic feel and the entire cast is usually made up of very talented actors. So much better than the wannabe NRI movies of the 2000s.

I loved the ending. It was super cute. The only thing I didn’t like was the literal toilet humor for a few minutes there. Other than that, great watch.
