What happened to Bollywood music? Most songs suck now

90s-2000s Bollywood movies had amazing music albums and singers like Kumar Sanu (mostly 90s), Udit Narayan, Abhijeet, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Shreya Goshal delivering memorable songs regulary. And once some faded away like Udit Narayan Atif Aslam came in the second half of the 2000s and brought some refreshing songs too.

Now Bollywood music sounds awful with the shitty remakes, crappy "party" type of music & dumbed down lyrics. Arijit singh still delivered some good songs last decade but overall most songs are shit now but maybe I'm just out of touch with what kids like now.

Cuz wahiyat n chutiypa remix songs happened cuz of tuk tuk bhaiya n neha kakkar besuri voice.

For someone who likes movies more than the songs, this is a welcome move. Let the singers release songs independently if they think the songs are worth. Glad to see Bollywood gradually moving away from the formulaic 5-6 songs format in movie.

The current party/remix songs are anyways garbage that are played at the movie end and can easily be avoided.

I mean there are still songs in Bollywood movies (apart from exceptions), they just suck. We can have less songs but actually great ones
