Deepika's performance in Lafangey Parindey

Cocktail was the turning-point in Deepika's career but I think one of her performances before Cocktail is noteworthy and that's Lafangey Parindey. She's simply aced the role of a blind girl and it's a pitch-perfect performance.I don't know why it's not discussed enough!

What do you guys think of her performance and the movie, if you've watched it?

I didn't see it when it came out, I think I watched it post her ascent to numero uno in 2013. And I was very impressed, it really was a turning point for her. She performed very well, and we all missed it at the time.

She was very good! Definitely a precursor to her wow! turn in Cocktail

She was too good in LP, that performance deserved a lot more praise, definitely one of her underrated performances.

It is because of the flops in 2010 that no one bothered to actually see how well she performed in that movie.

I remember being upset that she did not even get a nomination for her performance which was actually better than LAK last year.

That year I realized that a Hit/Flop holds a lot of value even how great your performance maybe. If the movie is a flop, your performance is forgettable.

She was so good in LP. In the song Nain Parindey towards the end When she cries and calls out "Aai" I felt so bad.

In filmfare ? Vidya won in 2010 for 2009 Paa

In 2011 Kajol won for 2010 my name is khan ( vidya won at a lot of the other award shows but not filmfare)

I guess Kajol won. Not sure and I faintly remember Kareena was nominated for Golmaal and went like...

Vidya was robbed, She was outstanding
