Infection is not the issue. Preventing death and disability is. Those are magnitudes higher in 45 plus and those with chronic illnesses.

High risk in this context doesn't mean high risk for catching. It means high risk of morbidity and mortality.

Therefore, vaccine is prioritized for those groups and for those whose work keep society functioning. The rest should also get but after the high risk groups and essential workers.

As cases increasing heard from April 1st vaccination is allowed to all above 45 but they must allow to all above 18 . 18-45 youth n working very important . in some states restrictions , night curfews are kept . All d educational institutes , schools , colleges are closed again except medical . In mum pvt hospitals ran out of beds . in mum mall there is secret cov centre n no one knows n fire accident happened there . Seems vaccination going slow n also vaccines are getting wasted in some states . Instead of wasting vaccines , they can open to all above 18 n give to them who comes to get vaccinated . Vaccine shortage will come .....

Point I was making is case numbers are not the criterion. Death rate is. So those who are likely to die from it are prioritized. Also, those who are essential workers.

Rest have to come later no matter how many schools or cinema halls remain closed.

Ya got it .Point I was making is prevention is better than cure , to contain d spread of 2nd wave is criteria .In 1st phase , vaccination for health sector over . Now 2nd phase of vaccination going n open to masses above 45 . 2nd wave going n cases increasing . It’s going to lock down n it’s affecting health of ppl n working of society . Burden on health sector . All can’t afford lock downs n country needs keep going . govt n ppl must follow cov norms n take measures to contain d 2nd wave spread . Already it creating chaos .
