Do you think Bunny and Naina would have worked out in real life?

In YJHD, Bunny and Naina were both so different from each other, poles apart, in fact. Bunny was a free-spirited, adventurous and rebellious character and Naina was an introvert, homely girl for whom a trip to Manali was a big deal. Do you think the romance between them was plausible? Or was it just one of those filmy romances which you can never envision in real life?

I don't think we can predict for sure because people evolve, adapt and learn compromise but when I think about Bunny's nature, I honestly think that there's a meagre possibility that they'd last. When you've just fallen in love, it's all beautiful. Like Bunny says, he doesn't know about afterwards, all he knows that he wants to be with her now, in this moment. All of that seems great until you have to think about the long-run and daal chawal for 50 saal till you die. Travelling and excitement seems to be part of his nature and the 'systematic' differences between him and Naina would probably create rifts between them eventually.

Naina wanted to break away from the monotony of her life. She was a home body, certainly and preferred her home land. By the end of the film, Bunny realised the significance of family and loved ones but yeah, it would lead to frustration and depression and hamper their relationship. Perhaps, he didn't even marry her.

A sequel would be great.

It may work in the short term, but for them to work long term, unless Bunny wants to put down roots and not get suffocated by that.

Naina is willing to travel and have a few experiences with Bunny the relationship will not work.

They would resent each other.

May be , may not be. I don’t think we can say for sure about their relationship. Towards the end , he does realise how important is to value his relationships so maybe they would have figured out a way to make it work or maybe bunny would have gone back to how he was and it was just loneliness that made him come back to Naina!

Hmm

1.His dream job in paris, he left it..He would have lashed out for sure in some conversations, that he sacrificed most for the relationship. And Naina would be like she didn't ask him to do that. Slowly, relationship would fade out.

2.Or maybe he would love Naina so much that he would be really satisfied with the job in India. Maybe, they would go on a vacation once a year? And he would be happy and she too?

Wish 2nd one happened.

I am not a fan of YJHD, neither of Naina..but speaking from experience I could say this :) I think am a bit of a real life Naina myself and am a notorious introvert. But I do like adventures. Have done solo trips internationally. And I do know quite a few guys around me that are like Bunny.

I know one particular guy that is exactly like Bunny in my life. He teases me for being the way I am, but is very fond of me as a friend. But romantically did we click? nah. While a Bunny and Naina at some point can be fascinated with one another, curious to know what makes each other the way they are. But because Bunny and Naina are innately two very different people, compatibility in the long run and even short term in a romantic setting can be problematic.

A Naina may not like partying too often or may have very few/little friends and may feel out of place, with Bunny's folks. Bunny may find it difficult to acclimatize Naina to his lifestyle or circle of friends. He may not even be able to enjoy a gathering himself, if he notices that Naina isn't comfortable. It may be frustrating for both parties. At some point he could just ask her, 'Why are you like this?' And that may make Naina mad. 😆

Nainas may be more comfortable with ambiverts in the long run. (Folks that know how to live / socialize in the world when they have to, but love being by themselves if given a chance to). Whereas Bunny was leaning more as an extrovert. Also, it's best to have someone that compliments your life's goals in the longer run or are heading in the same direction as you are. Having goals in opposite direction and still wanting the relationship, will have one of the two to compromise.

I don’t think bunny and naina would have worked out in real life, naina was working as a doctor and was settled in her job, bunny wanted to travel the world and fulfill his dreams, it would only work if bunny found someone who was willing to go travelling with him

At the end of the film it showed bunny leaving his dream job just to settle with naina, that is a big sacrifice to make, eventually he will realise that he misses his dream job, coz is there any guarantee that he will be happy just being a videographer in India and not taking up the amazing opportunities he is getting abroad? it would only work when you strike the right balance between your dreams and your personal life.

The fact that naina never spoke about leaving her job to go travelling with bunny showed that she was not willing to sacrifice her job and stability in India, she even said to him that she doesn’t want to leave India, so bunny was the one that had to make the sacrifice of his career, and in the long run that will lead to big problems and friction between them

I just think bunny would have eventually gotten bored of the monotonous life of being with naina in one place, he was too much of a free bird, I mean he wouldn’t even see his own family coz he was too busy chasing his dreams

coz making a relationship work is not just about loving each other, it’s about compatibility in both your personalities and in your careers, everything has to work out

In my experience..

I am a little bit real version of Naina. I have a good job and very homely person + shy + introvert + quiet + SIMPLE. I love my land and would rarely want to move out and explore the world. A few vacay here and there is fine for me but mostly I would enjoy roaming around in my land . I dont party or dont like the idea of partying... i think i am not made for them.

I met a guy exactly like bunny.. dream job + adventurous + wanted fo travel the world + party monger + total besharam + extra

Now what happened.

We fell in love - or you can say love from my side was much more from his. I wont say he didnt love me but for sure his dreams snd the life he lived was more important to him.

I started feeling less confident infront of him - his group . Almost every trip of his made me realise how different we were.. and how i didnt fit in his glamorous world. How i was just a masoom good looking girl for him who was JUST simple. We had good times too.. he felt at peace with me and i felt ohr every meetup was something new for me. I would learn new things everyday but in the long run it didnt work out..

In the end - when the topic of marriage came up he chose his job his career and his life and i can understand why...

So accoridng to me Naina and Bunny dont work in the long run.

bunny type of attitude people doesn't need a wife but a travel companion🤣

well i believe when love is true no matter how opposite they are from each other,it might work if they put their selfish interest and nature above their relationship love and marriage it will never work at all

Its how they manage their relationship and what is their preference being a hippie all life or being with family, where your happiness lies

relationships comes with adjustments if you can't commit and wants to chase your dreams and be a traveller explorer than don't commit, don't get married

i believe bunny type of people might chase their dreams and even achieve but in long run when they achieve the loneliness will kill their soul. After achieving everything all around the world travelling and travelling, exploring what is in your life without a family

I would love to see a sequel of yjhd
