Perfection or versatility?

Which quality do you think is more important in an actor? Perfection or Versatility? Which one shapes their career better?

I notice that these two traits rarely come together in an actor. Many have a zone where they excel but almost none can perform in every area with equal zeal. Ranbir for example.

Rajkumar Rao is the one who comes closest to bringing these two qualities together. Can't think of anyone else from this generation.
