Should Taapsee have won best actress for 2018?

Taapsee's performance in Manmarziyan was far better than Alia's in Raazi, IMO. Do you think she should have won best actress in 2018?

No, Taapsee was good but Alia was better in Raazi. The role and the film was to die for. Mannmarziya was a decent film but not as awesome as Raazi.

I mean I think it should have gone to Tabu or Rani, but yeah Tapsee was way better than Alia for sure

Between Taapsee and alia, I think Alia would have won, I know filmfare behaved partially, but Taapsee, as Rumi, was almost in her skin, but to pull off another person with so much trauma in a biopic, in a movie that has so much expectations, I think Alia did a good job too, but we have to account for the mujhe ghar jaana hai scene, which was a debacle.

Rumi and Sehmat, both were tough characters and both the actresses did justice, for me, Sehmat stayed longer with me than Rumi, so for me,a s I said, Alia got the award she deserved. But Taapsee too should have been hyped a bit more after Manmarziyaan.

I would've personally preferred seeing Tabu (for Simi in Andhadhun) or Rani (for Naina Mathur in Hichki) get the best actress award in 2018.

But between Taapsee and Alia, Taapsee as Rumi hit all the right notes for me and was far, far superior than Alia (as Rehmat).
