The BJP is running a bogus 'Justice for SSR campaign'&getting its nauseating vulture media to vilify Rhea Chakraborty,just in the hope of milking it for the Bihar elections. After a campaign charging her for murder,they now arrest her for getting marijuana for Sushant!Disgusting!

I think, here, we should talk about Bollywood, and it's hypocrisy.

Bollywood heroes might appear only onscreen, but their soft power and influence via their public behavior and the movies they do cannot be repudiated.

The whole country is invested in the in’s and out’s of Bollywood, doing media trials and breaking news on a daily basis on unconfirmed sources. The past two months, this forum has more non BW folks appear on screen to discuss the fate of Bollywood.

Smash the patriarchy chant by BW surely wasn’t just for themselves (they definitely need to see inward) but all the armchair justice and activists, political players who have used the fans of BW as fans and the Anchors dissecting shamelessly while not looking in the mirror themselves.

I am not going to comment on Rhea or the case against her. But I have something to say on the bolded comment.

If the said drugs is Marijuavana, then a lot of people take it to heal depression, bipolar disorder, severe autism amongst the many other mental illnesses. I personally know of a couple of families who incorporate medical marijuana for their autistic children to relieve them of some of the extreme mood swings.

Well the problem is he was already on medication.. And in her own words he was using too much of weed ( too much of even sugar is bad )

Weed+ the medication he was on is destructive. Just search the affects of weed with depression medication. His mind was being poisoned by overdose of various drugs both prescription and recreational and the woman didn't care to inform his family, take him to rehab? Instead she goes on to hold parties at his house when he is drugged up and use his credit cards.

I think this whole weed angle has been exaggerated. Even Sushant probably just did it once in a while to feel better. Switching to CBD oil would have meant getting the medical benefits without getting high... that’s what Rhea might have meant by wanting Sushant to reduce weed... seems like they were looking at other alternatives. Anyways weed isn’t the cause of his death. Sushant had mental health issues and he seemed to have been triggered by Disha’s death... along with being in lockdown, it was too much for him to handle. No ones at fault imo. Blaming Rhea is ridiculous.

My point was not about blaming Rhea. At this point, who knows what happened to SSR.

The point of the thread was about the laughable hypocrisy of the #smashthepatriarchy campaign, and the sheer pettiness shown by Anurag Kashyap in tweeting out his nasty thoughts re: SSR.

Rhea was arrested for custodial interrogation. Ie, even if it was for marijuana, the people at NCB believe they can get something bigger. The BWers know it. The only reason for them to show such support to Rhea that they never showed in any of the other situations (hence the thread) is that they're afraid they're going to get caught.

Kashyap tweeted that as a sort of "oh, yeah? If we go down, we're going to take your hero down with us. So you'd better stop with all the public pressure."

How stupid. 1) SSR is already dead. 2) NCB is already involved. If they're on to something, they're on to something. They're not going to stop to protect SSR's reputation.

But the BWers need to be called out on their hypocrisy.
