Aishwarya was shooting even in her third trimester. Hell, she was ready to shoot a film through her pregnancy but it didn't fall into place.

And who can forget she attended many events in a visibly big condition. She was mocked for her double chin, yet she went to Cannes and flaunted her weight gain like nobody's business.

Her PR did a good job there.. Getting pregnant and coming out and showing off your belly is not counted as an achievement.. I remember Aishwarya suffered the most when it came to that..Post pregnancy she took her own sweet time to get into a leaner shape...But the kind of atrocities she had to go through for coming out and appearing in the shows with a fat body is something I can not forget.. So what Kareena did is nothing groundbreaking. Yes, we didn't see actresses like Madhuri, Sridevi pregnant, as earlier actresses would disappear after their marriage/pregnancy as Bollywood has little to offer after that. So they live their life privately. But in this day and age, where there are more opportunities for women even after motherhood, women are seizing the opportunity. And Kareena is one of these women following the trend, but she is not a trailblazer of any sort that her fans and Kareena herself are making her out to be.

Why would anyone salute this..The amount of importance we have given to the glamour industry is incorrigible...And in the recent time PRs like hers have changed the whole narrative of who actually are the epitomes of women empowerment..Coming to acting department..well a lot of TV actress do that as well.. I believe even Smriti did that at one point of time..Heavily pregnant and shooting for the show..probably shot till the last day od her pregnancy and also shot on the day of her marriage..And mind these ones were not just appearing in the shows..they were shooting full time ..Tv shows are rigorous and demand a lot of time from the leads..unlike the movie shoots...... Again we have had many others appearing out in the swollen cheek/fat body look.. including Kajol who was there to collect an award the Filmfare for My name is Khan.. People have done it too many times before..But they did not have the PR who called it a trend and declared them as the brand ambassadors of working pregnant women..So no she did not start it all ,..

My God it's hilarious how some people love to do selective reading. Let me repeat myself again. Right from her pregnancy announcement to her delivery, Kareena attended events, award shows, did ads, photoshoots, endorsements and walked around confidently with her baby bump and pregnancy fat without going into hiding during that WHOLE period....you understand the term whole period? The actresses you mentioned either did one movie or one photoshoot or one ramp walk or appeared in one event. They didn't carry on with their normal work routine during their whole pregnancy. And who's even projecting it as path-breaking? Even Kareena said that it's the most normal thing on earth to produce a child. And that's what I was even talking about. Why can't pregnant actresses normalise their pregnancy and keep up with their work routine like all normal mothers do? That was my point.

I must applaud you for your great research though. Big lol at passing Genelia, Esha and Lisa personal maternity photoshoots as normal work routine😆 And and same goes for appearance of retired actresses like Twinkle and Shilpa.

As far as Aishwarya shooting for Heroine, we all know how she started shooting for the movie knowing she was already 4 months pregnant and didn't inform anyone about it and just announced it just a few days into shooting. How unprofessional. She already knew what kind of movie it was and what were the sequences to be shot. More shameful was the fact that her director had to learn it from the media. At least Kareena informed her producer, Rhea that she was pregnant and to look for another actress even before announcing her pregnancy or starting to shoot. Even for her 2nd pregnancy where her part is more or less done with around 12 days of shooting left, she informed her producer about it before announcing it.
