MeToo Allegations against Sushant - Who, what and why?

I am still not sure I understand...did we get to the bottom of who did this, why and why on earth did NO ONE ON THE DIL BECHARA TEAM speak up to defend Sushant when these allegations happened? Was this also during the time he was with Rhea (not sure)?

Also, I would like to say one thing..this MeToo movement has been abused and misused by a lot of people and this is not right. I would like to add that there are vile women in this world that love to play victim and use the victim card to promote stories of abuse and whatnot...and this is NOT what MeToo is about and never should be. There are also good guys out there and no innocent person should get wrapped up in this just because a woman says xyz and we as a society have to try our best to look at things with some objectivity even though it is extremely tough in such sensitive issues.

With that said, I feel upset and bothered about how Sushant had to go through character assassination due to these allegations when he did not deserve that. So, why were these stories planted if these stories WERE NOT TRUE? and by WHOM? Almost all of us here believed these allegations and it makes me sad to realize that we did.

A part of me feels that this was the first move to mentally destroy Sushant. Any sane person would go insane by their good reputation getting dragged through the dirt. What if this led to people distancing themselves from Sushant? These were serious allegations that anyone would feel iffy about. What if Sushant was only able to confide in someone like Rhea post this episode and ended up in the wrong company because of these allegations? Honestly, with more and more details coming out in this case..this story was planted for a reason and destroying Sushant mentally and as a person seemed to be a part of the agenda.

Mohit(the director of the movie) was the first to clarify that nothing of sort happened, but given his own shady image and the "no smoke without fire" attitude, nobody believed him.

Lets not please act like, people would have believed nothing happened if Sushant was still alive. It is only because he is no more, people are behaving fair and impartial, or else innocent till proven guilty benefit is not given to men in sexual harassment allegations or even rumors, like in Sushant's case.

To be honest, in Sushant's case there really was no lead. The girl herself denied it. That should've shut everyone up who were still blaming him no matter that he was alive still. If people kept blaming him after it that's them being very very unfair and disgusting

And see we can't blame those who didn't believed Sanjana either, because there have been numerous cases where girls are forced to take back the complaints, plus blinds were already planted about Sanjana being blackmailed. So as I had said in the thread, this thing became a fan fiction, everyone has their own theory. Sexual harassment allegations are serious thing, just mere allegations is enough to make people suspicious. On of that when it comes to sexual allegations, unless you are a golden egg giving goose like Hirani, nobody supports you.

As for girls being blackmailed to take back their complaints, that's true, it does happen. But it sounds like people assumed it without any inkling that she's being blackmailed. Like the moment she came out denying it people just said "oh she's being blackmailed", in my opinion you can't just say someone is being blackmailed without some sign of it happening. Because it is a very serious situation so you cant just assume that, or else it sounds like you're just looking for a reason to blame the person even after it's been denied. If there were blinds of it then it's a different story that some people chose to think that she's being blackmailed (even though those blinds were a figment of someone's imagination). But apparently Sanjana not saying anything for awhile made people worry that she's truly being blackmailed so maybe it was beyond blinds for them and they thought she's giving a sign in that silence

Yes but WHOSE PR? And why didnt his PR hit back harder? There really was nothing substantive in the allegations, except rumour and the woman not even making public claims. Also wasnt it bizarre that Mukesh Chhabra was hit by the same allegations during the same film? Very coordinated.

I think Faridoon or someone questioned her about why she delayed the response for which she said she and Sushant thought they shouldn’t be reacting to the rumors. Believe it or not, this is what she said.And then when they thought that it was getting serious, they decided that Sushant will publish the chat and when still it wasn’t stopping, they decided that she should finally speak about it. Now that he is not here to say his part of the story, anybody can say anything I guess.
