I actually went and read the whole article. It is a well written one. Kudos to Shekhar Gupta for not hiding behind any blinds and actually having the gall to take names. He himself knows it's a big deal, probably that's why he said he informed the newspaper owners about the article in advance to get their support and mentioned that also in print, lol! Very good. Documentation saves. ;-)

Btw, i just realised ki Shekhar gupta glossed over one fact.....

That though he says we never tampered with awards (doubtable) but still awards kisko mil rahe hain yeh sab ko pehle se pata chal jata tha and then the tantrums start..... So they did release the list beforehand

Good article. I hope he is not labelled as an Attention Seeker as well and using it for his personal agenda.

If this happens for an award, imagine the power politics they would play for a movie and later on the movie's success and promotions, most of all to it's competition especially from an outside talent.

This sub forum talking about it and a mainstream journalist talking about it are two different things.

What I am noticing is that a lot of main stream journalists like vir Sanghavi and now Shekhar Gupta are writing abt SSR’s unfortunate demise and their limited interactions / impressions of Bollywood ... and it isn’t complimentary.

Shekhar Gupta is the president of the Press guild of India , all journalists are it’s card holders ( political , sports , entertainment etc )

He covers hardcore politics and for him to publicly out - Kjo , dharma , Akhtars , hritik , Bachans , katrina and others ... simply goes to show how disdainfully do mainstream journalists look at Bollywood .
The way he says “ it’s not really an industry “ but a bunch of “ families “ is telling enough

Now i know why SRK got 8 filmfares same as dilip kumar

What a joke i think he deserve not more than one or two awards for best actor

No wonder hes equal to dilip kumar (hes hardly 25% of acting ability of dilip kumar or balraj sahani)

above that hold your breathe he got 10 awards in flimfare like best critic award, best power award, best producer awards, debut award etc

So hes got 18 awards in filmfare only

Out of that i think he deserves only 2 awards bazigaar and darr

I do not think he deserved even best debut award for deewana as i feel it should have gone to hero of "dil ka kya kasoor" movie that year

Even anjaam he do not deserve it was naseerudin shah in mohra who should have got it

In anjaam madhuri did a better job than srk all round performance

Udaan is definitely 100 times better than MNK. Good that everyone is exposed. In a way kangana doing some good.
