Shekhar Kapur's tweet makes me think:

But how do we bring down the system? Is it that easy, when the demand-supply chain is skewed so heavily in favour of star kids?
It is unfair to a lot of deserving people; and in the grand scheme of things, also unfair to the viewers who deserve to see the best talent come forward and contribute to the industry.
Nepotism is also our fault. Just look at how many people follow Suhana Khan on Instagram. They know nothing about her acting capability. But she has a famous father, and that’s all we need to know to follow her, apparently.
If tomorrow, Suhana starts acting in a film, and becomes famous, do not blame Karan Johar for promoting nepotism. Blame thousands of people who stalk Suhana Khan even today, and are going to go watch the film just because of her name.
We are promoting nepotism, because we are promoting mediocrity. The fault is entirely our own. We will get what we deserve. If we need more, we need to ask for it. And show that we want it with our actions.
