It was actually a full fledged love-hate story between the leads, and thankfully there was very less saas bahu drama till Rajeev quit that show. And yes, all the current generation antihero male leads are inspired from Sujal, but Sujal is iconic, even the replacement actor could not re-do a sujal so abhi ke non actor male leads ka toh baat hi alag hai.

Does anyone think a producer/writer should change a specific storyline just to hold onto an actor playing the character? Sadly Rajeev left because he did not want to do a particular storyline, didn't he? There wasn't any other reason?

I think Ekta should have done everything to keep hold of Rajeev. I wonder what direction KTH would have gone had he stayed. An actor can influence a show more than a storyline.

And Iqbal Khan playing the fake Sujal for while was bizarre. 😆

Ekta has her ego above everything, she herself killed a show which was one of the landmark shows of those days. And how pathetic was the storyline for which Rajeev had to leave? Ekta wanted Sujal to rape Charu in order to take revenge from kashish for her betrayal. This storyline and the sick idea did not go well with Rajeev, who knew very well that this track might end all the reasons why sujal was so much loved by the audience.

And why on earth is ekta so obsessed about Male leads sleeping with their sister in laws? I am so glad that Rajeev backed out and ultimately ekta did what she wanted, she made the replacement sujal marry, sleep, do rubbish with Charu .. I am just so glad that iin my head idea of sujal garewal ends with Rajeev's exit.

And she did not only leave with that, she chose one of the worst and most wooden actor to play sujal.

Ekta is insane. She seems to not care what or who she loses, & does not care how the audience feel. She creates a great couple on screen, then destroys them with sick & twisted plots. The show may run for 2-4 years, make another & do the same.

It is not even about a couple, like she was going to change the whole character of sujal, from a brooding lover boy to a man who would go after his wife's sister.. How does her CVs even get these ideas? and in most of her shows she makes the male leads sleep with female lead's sisters, WHY WHY WHY?

Yes apparently that was the reason. also surveen and Aamna used to be at loggerheads, I heard that surveen wanted a paralell lead role, and obviously her character has to be involved with the male lead to be a paralell lead. Rajeev definitely did the right thing, if he would play a sujal who would go after charu, it would be cheating with his fans 😭

Imagine if she ends up making KTH2 😆I thought Ekta would have had another iconic show lined for season 2 by now.
