Of course. Bigger star parents = More promotion material ready and more influence.

Look at Jahnvi's lineup after her under average performance in Dhadhak. That is only because she is Sridevi (the only actress who'd been successful pan-India) and Boney's (huge producer...family lineage) daughter. Plus the Kapoor surname.

Sara's also not got great films lined up compared to Janhvi and she is a better performer imo.

Ananya wasn't the best in SOTY 2 and the movie was clearly made for her debut and to get Tiger to do a Dharma film.

I feel star kids also have Tiers.

Tier 1 is Alia, Janhvi, Varun and to an extent Sara. These are the guys who have the most influential parents, who have done some great work in the industry. Out of which Alia, Varun and Arjun Kapoor were the first gen to get full on nepotism favours.

Tier 2 is Sara, Ananya, Kiara. I have listed Sara here but its for a reason...not everyone talks so much about Saif and Amrita so Sara should've actually hustled more. But she jumped into Tier 1 because she was so likeable and relatable. Education helped her. These star kids are the ones who have either okayish connections or their parents are popular for certain roles (Chunky as Pasta). They comparatively don't get work on their platter. Kiara is here coz she got into the Dharma gang, maybe since her Bollywood connections became public knowledge.

Tier 3 is Alaya F, Pranutan, Ishaan. No one really cares unless they are great performers (Alaya in JJ). No one talks about these kids' parents at all. But they do have connections that manage to get them roles. Also this Tier star kids may not be the best looking or have the IT factor...but connections help them get into the industry.

Of course there is competition

how successful a star kid is depends on his parents network and power in bollywood

like alia, varun, ananya, jhanvi, tiger, sara getting projects without even finishing first movie

but same advantage kiara, pratun etc did not get as parents not so famous

ananyas father is not so famous but shes best friend with srk daughter

In prev gen it was more tough i think

like vinod khanna so akshaye khanna or dharmendras son sunny deol or bobby deol or nutans son manish behl did not get much benefits of their super star parents and are struggling or gone

abhishekh bachchan got maximum benefits 16 flops in row but finally he stopped getting benefits

16 movies is too much of time to learn acting and develop style and personality - i mean almost 6-8 years he got free run

lets see how long these star kids exist

it all depends which camp you are in

salman has sooraj bartajya to save his career and of course his constant controversies and love affairs sustained his career, same for akshay his love affairs sustained his career for almost 10 years when he gave flop after flops

srk had yash chopra and yash raj banners

only amir sustained with acting ability till now (and ajay devgan)

ultimately its box office that speaks

Ofcourse....Biggest example is Abhishek....his first hit was after some 16-17 flops...no one would have gotten so many chances without delivering a success.
