Alia doesn't seem to have the confidence to speak directly to a senior person. Varun said during HSKD and BKD that if she wanted to ask KJo something or had an idea during promotions she would ask Varun to do it for her. Now Sara getting Simmba was due to starkid privilege but the fact that she did the talking directly and didn't go through a parent is kinda cool imo.

No yaar it's not about the confidence. Varun clearly said that she used to have lots of ideas and keep talking about it but the minute karan entered the room she used to go mum and varun ended up doing all the talking. He said that he realized this later on.

It was the same with pay gap thing. He said this during sui dhaaga promotion that he keeps asking alia to raise her pay and why she takes so less. He even said that I am ready to fight and take a stand ( like he did for katrina) for an equal pay but you have to take the first step.

She just doesn't talk directly because she thinks karan will stop giving her movies and not hype her up like he does now.

Alia can just act in movies where she has to cry otherwise she is pretty average actress. Look at her acting in HSKD, K&S, SOTY, BKD, Shaandaar etc. She was bad in all of them.
