Mrunal Thakur to play Sivagami in Netflix Baahubali series.

Popular digital platform Netflix has announced the cast of Bahubali: Before the Beginning' which is the prequel series to India's epic fantasy franchise Bahubali'. Netflix announced the series in August and has already been directed to come up with two-seasons

Talented actress Mrunal Thakur will be seen portraying the role of Sivagami in the series and actor Rahul Bose will essay the character of Skandadasa. The series is based on Anand Neelakantan's book, The rise of Sivagami'. It will depict the dramatic rise of Queen Sivagami and her empire.

Season one of the series will have nine episodes and captures Sivagami's journey from a rebellious and vengeful girl to a wise and unequalled queen. The digital platform has collaborated with the team behind Bahubali', including Arka Media Works, director SS Rajamouli. Deva Katta and Praveen Sataru will co-direct the series.

The series Bahubali: Before the Beginning' also features Atul Kulkarni, Vaquar Shaikh, Jameel Khan, Siddharth Arora and Anup Soni in key roles. In both the installments of the film Bahubali: the Beginning' and Bahubali: the Conclusion' eminent actress Ramya Krishna had played by Sivagami.
