Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will star in a film
based on the subject of surrogacy.
Reports had stated that the actress had a
creative discussion with the makers and
even "liked" the idea. However, it was
alleged that she later only agreed to
confirm her involvement once the script
was re-written.
The latest on this project hints that the
film has been put on hold. According to
the film's producer, things were going
downhill from the start as the actors were
announced even before the script was
ready. The film, which was set to mark the
directorial debut of writer duo Siddharth
Singh and Garima Wahal, later got pushed
as the two got busy with another social-
drama Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. Hence, the
report claims that Jasmine' will not
happen in the near future.
This news comes amidst reports that
claim Karan Johar's next Good News' will
be based on a similar subject.
