Bollywood. Today, the launched the trailer of
Stree in the city. The film also stars Shraddha
Kapoor in the lead role.
At the trailer launch, the actor was asked
about his thoughts on being a hero of the
film. Rajkummar said that with time, the
definition of hero has changed.
The Trapped actor said, "The definition of a
hero is changing that's why a superstar like
Aamir Khan is also doing a Dangal. The
audience is slowly moving to character-
driven cinema."
Rajkummar Rao had a successful 2017 in
terms of his films. He was lauded for his
performances last year in films like Trapped,
Bareilly Ki Barfi and Newton.
His list of upcoming films is also quite
interesting. The talented actor will be seen
in Fanney Khan, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa
Laga, Mental Hai Kya and Imli.
Talking about Stree, it is a horror-comedy
directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by
Dinesh Vijan.
The story is based on a woman aka Stree
who traps men with her beauty and these
men mysteriously disappear. Rajkummar
Rao plays a quirky and smart boy from a
town who falls in love with Shraddha
Kapoor. While the rest of the people think
that Shraddha is that 'Stree', Rajkummar
refuses to believe the same. However, with
horrifying events taking place in his and his
friends' lives, even he starts getting
suspicious about her.
Rajkummar and Shraddha's chemistry looks
adorable and fun in the trailer.
Stree is slated to release on August 31,
2018.
