What's the problem here coz I'm confused. Is it because Kareena is his cousin and not his sister so it's not direct uncle-nephew relationship? I call my father's brother Chacha and my mother's brother Mamajee. I don't live in India but my grandfathers and their siblings were born there and they spoke Gugarati which is where they got these terms. So maybe this is just a language or regional thing? Because I would expect RK to call Kareena's father Chacha.

Guess the relations are so distant that he doesnt realize that he is Kareena's cousin who is claimed to be a woman and hence he becomes his 2nd mamaa.

Or does Ranbir know some secret which we dont about Kareena? But then we almost saw Kareena giving birth so the theory of her being a man flows out of the window.

Someone please let Ranbir know that he is not Taimur's chacha.

Additionally at around 5:00 he also adds that he is does not talk to Kareena often and that they meet very rarely hence are not close, in the same breath however he claims to be close to Saif and says that he uses Tamurs videos an pictures to patao girls. I guess that is how he patoaed Aloo. 🤢

Kareena is his cousin sister that would make him be her kids mama not chacha. What is there not get? What does regionality have to do with this? In Ranbir and Kareena's case it is plain and simple they don't reside in some detached village where their upbringing was different. They are from Mumbai.

Their distant relations despite being 1st cousins is obvious af dude doesn't even know how he is related to Tamur.
Arjun if anything would call himself mama correctly and not chacha.

i really don't understand where your overwhelming confusion is coming from and what it has to do with this thread to begin with. Rishi is Kareenas fathers brother he is her chacha point blank. What does Rishi have to do with anything here? As for Ranbirs niece to that girl Ranbir is mama too. No offense but what does your family and their terminology have to do with anything at hand in this topic? As I said Ranbir and Kareena's family is not from some detached village so that regionality should be playing a role. Their family has been residing and living in Mumbai since the 1920s and that too the elite lifestyle. So please. This is just a case of Ranbir being dumb af and him and Kareena being not close at all.

ETA even for arguments sake your argument becomes invalid as your family hails from Gujarar while Kareena and Ranbirs don't. In Punjabi culture fathers brother is chacha and mothers brother is mama simple as that- the rule applies to cousin brothers and sisters as well.
