Ranveer would have not suited Sanju role, as for some reason RK had always reminded me of Sanjay Dutt. Mostly due to their eyes.

To me Sanjay Dutt life is a big lesson of how not to ruin ones life.

Same Ranveer suits only OTT characters since he hams a lot. Sanju's role isn't his cup of tea.
