Honestly fines and/or community service would be more helpful anyway.

I agree but your past criminal history is always taken into consideration. They always see if its just one time incident of a hunter on a weekend trip vs an incorrigible criminal which is determined on case by case basis.

No no Salman can file appeal in all three courts..first in sessions court agar yaha acquittal nahi toh High court agar yaha bhi acquittal nahi toh he can go to supreme court.

Jab court ne bari kar diya phir kahe ka offender ..same johdpur court ne 5 year and 1 year sentence ko ZERO kiya tha ...

Praise be The Lord! He finally went to jail for killing protected species, even though he got away with killing a human being.

Chalo, at least black buck ko toh justice mila at least for 2 days ...baad mein toh yeh waisey bhi bail ho jayega

People dont realize killing an endangered or protected wildlife species is a CRIME!

Im glad Bishnois did not give up and saw it through, hats off to them 👏

They are a really dedicated community of nature lovers and protectors of wildlife through history.

Of course his lawyers will appeal in high court right away and he will get bail again from high court...but at least kuchh din ke liye toh jail jayega

This drama happens every 2-3 years so not expecting any lasting punishment for him.

The judge called him a "Habitual Offender"
