Power couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and
Abhishek Bachchan were last seen sharing
screen space in Raavan. AbhiAsh fans have
been waiting since then to see the duo
together. Many filmmakers have even tried
to bring them together but none have been
successful so far.
Last year, there was a buzz that the duo has
finally found the right script to come
together but seems like even that isn't going
too well. According to a report in a leading
daily, the project which was set to reunite
Abhishek and Aishwarya onscreen has been
put on the back burner.
A source revealed to the leading daily, "Abhi-
Ash were in talks for a film with Shailesh R
Singh. While Abhi was already on board,
discussions were on with Ash and her team
for the same. The real-life couple would've
reunited on screen after eight long years.
But the movie has supposedly been put on
the back burner. In fact, the project has
been pushed ahead indefinitely.
The real-life couple was supposed to play
reel life couple onscreen as well, who were
also top cops.
Regarding the wait for this much-awaited
reunion, the source further explained, "Ash
is choosy about her projects. She had some
issues with the script and wanted a few
changes, which had not happened.
Meanwhile, she signed another film (the
remake of Raat Aur Din). Abhishek also took
up a few movies. Since the whole idea was
to get Abhi and Ash together on screen,
once she backed out, he too found the
whole thing pointless. There were budget
issues as well.
