It doesn't matter what the SC says unfortunately.

1) Most theatres will not risk damage to their property and patrons.
2) Even if they do play it, families will chose to stay away due to safety concerns.
3) There's a viable option in Padman, for both the theatres and the viewers.

Padmavat will eventually get a release in these states, in a couple of weeks once reports start pouring in, anger subsidies and security concerns are eased. Historically, that's been the case with these unofficial bans and Padmavat should follow the same fate losing some revenue but not as high as some experts are predicting.

And the protesters who go about beating up people to show their disappointment should be jailed. They are a nuisance to society. 🤢

Hopefully the business lost in Rajasthan can be made up by the Tamil and Telugu versions.

Good decision, of course its up to theater owners if they want to screene it or not
what's more important is the states ban is lifted, that's mean more theaters for the film 😛

Supreme court strikes down the ban in style!! While SC order stays the ban imposed by the 4 states, it also makes it impossible for other states to place any kind of ban on the film's release. It has also clearly stated that it's the prime duty of state governments to maintain stringent law and order in the region. Yes, they can not abdicate that duty/responsibility.

The verdict can be interpreted as the vindication of artists' rights/liberty and freedom of speech. Now it's upto the states to honour the verdict and hope they don't create further hurdles in its implementation.
