Prabhas demands Rs. 20 cr as fee, Karan Johar backs out.

It looks like Prabhas and Baahubali would
remain in a league of their own, never to be
encored. One doesn't know if filmmaker S S
Rajamouli would ever make film as grandly
celebrated as Baahubali.
But as far as the Baahubali leading man
Prabhas' career in Bollywood is concerned
it seems he have hit a dead-end even
before taking off.
According to sources the villain in Prabhas's
Bollywood career proved to be his price.
"Prabhas had worked in Baahubali for
peanuts. He devoted five years of his life to
the two Baahubali films and it was only fair
that he would want to cash in on his new
success, says the source, adding that
Prabhas went ahead and asked for a new
inflated price.
"But the price he asked for was staggering.
While it was okay for him to ask and get his
desired pricereportedly in the vicinity of
Rs 20 croresin Telugu cinema, it was
unrealistic for Prabhas to expect that kind
of remuneration in Bollywood. No South
Indian actor, not even the mighty
Rajinikanth has that kind of commercial
clout in Hindi cinema. Prabhas has clearly
out-priced himself from Bollywood, says an
informed source.
One of the leading casualties of Prabhas'
inflated self-worth is the film he was
supposed to do for Karan Johar's Dharma
Productions.
Karan has apparently backed out of the
verbal commitment to launch Prabhas in
Hindi. Says a source, "After Baahubali and
its sequel which Karan had co-produced,
Karan was keen to launch Prabhas in Hindi
cinema. But on seeing the price he was
asking Karan has decided to abandon the
idea of launching Prabhas in Bollywood.
At the moment Prabhas has the Telugu-
Hindi-Tamil tri-lingual film Saaho only to see
him into Hindi cinema. The film is being
shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi
and one reason why Shradha Kapoor was
roped in was to ensure a participative
positivity in Hindi moviegoers.
But can Saaho launch Prabhas' Hindi career?
Doubtful. For that you need a Bollywood
movie moghul. Like Karan Johar.

🤣 this is asking for too much. Prabhas does not have recognizability in BW. Bahubali worked as an enterprise and not as an actor or star. It was the product which sold. Besides he does not have fan following on par with SRK or SAlman or Akshay or Ajay. Who will go and watch to give a good opening?

I am a telugu girl and i find prabhas overrated. Before bahubali all his movies have similar story. He can't act nor has a good telugu diction tbh.stayed in.movies this long due to nepotism and bahubali was a hit due to great acting by Rana, anushka, ramya, nazar, satyaraj than prabhas. Prabhas played titular role yet i found his telugu diction n dialogue delivery atrocious. Rana had a telugu teacher employed learnt proper diction for folk drama that is bahubali. Whereas all prabhas milks is his good looks and nothing more. Sorry if i hurt his fans but it is a fact that he is too overrated and can't act to save his life

5-10C would've been fine & I am sure seeing Bahubali's massive success, KJo wouldve agreed. But 20C??! No way! That's too much. South is known to pay their stars even more than BW. Maybe Prabhas didn't like KJo's film & this was his way of backing out of it 😆

20 cr. lol. He has mistaken BB series success as entirely his own success and credited himself too much for that it seems. The brand itself was big, the marketing was big.


He will not be able to match upto any of the Khans popularity in BW. Who's gonna give him 20 cr. ? Good and quick decision by KJo. :)

I have seen a lot of Southie movies, and I find Prabhas the worst looking out of all the heroes. 😆
