Don't care for the truth here but it was hella amusing to see Kangy win this one. In an industry where women are treated as second-class passengers , I liked how Kangy played this game.
HR handled it badly. I do think his image took a beating and the fact that inspite of being a big superstar , BW didn't react much for him was a lowblow too.
Also props to her for knowing "who" to give the interview. Barkha, Rajat Sharma..all these interviews align with her image.
Kangy has worked her brand in a way that it doesn't matter if her films bomb now.
HR never had the gumption to carry on with this fight , Kangy was winning from the moment he responded to her byte. Meh.
On question of if stars control the media. Yes, all interviews are vetted , edited and we even have Superstars threatening Journos if they carry a story they don't like.Pretty basic PR mechanism especially in India where BW reporting is abysmal and stars are still coveted for getting that cover photo and scoops. Sallu, Shah , Aamir , AB Sr ..all vet their interviewers pretty well, considering how they share a personal equation with most of the conglomerate heads.
