heartthrob, the actor has also become one
of the most bankable heroes. This Telugu
star is the nation's newest obsession and
he's truly deserving of all the love and
adulation coming his way. And the win-win
streak has continued for the actor after
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion release. Not
only has the movie garnered Rs 1000 crores
at the box office and become the first Indian
movie to achieve this feat, inside sources
reveal that Prabhas too has benefitted from
the film. We've learnt that the actor has
hiked his fee. An insider revealed, "Prabhas
has upped his fee by Rs 5 crore. He feels that
it is only fair for him to demand the
remuneration considering that he had given
his 5 years to a movie that has turned out to
be blockbuster like none other." According
to our source the actor was drawing a
package of Rs 20-25 crore for Baahubali
and now he will be demanding about Rs 30
crore. And we're sure that with that money
the actor has now joined a league of top
stars.
In an earlier report BollywoodLife had
revealed how much the cast and crew of
Baahubali was charging for this SS
Rajamouli magnum opus. We found out the
film's director had made a whopping Rs 28
crore and Prabhas was the second highest
paid and the highest paid amongst all the
actors. Rana Daggubati who plays the role of
Bhallaladeva minted about Rs 15 crore. The
female leads of the Tamannah Bhatia and
Anushka Shetty got a paycheque of Rs 5
crore each. Ramya Krishnan who played
Sivagami was paid Rs 2.5 crore, while
Kattappa aka actor Satyaraj was given Rs 2
crore for his part.
In an interview to BollywoodLife, Prabhas'
had discussed his journey on Baahubali and
his rapport with director SS Rajamouli. The
actor confirmed that he put any plans of
marriage in the back burner and rejected
several movie offers. Prabhas said, "There is
definitely a risk because first of all we had
six months training and we knew it's going
to take time. The first most important thing
was as a principle actor I should give time to
Rajamouli's mad passion Baahubali. And
luckily I know him for 10 years and I was
like if something works and if people like it,
it is going to give something which I can
never forget in my life. For that believing
Rajamouli, his hard work, his genius mind,
so I just thought I want to take the risk and
for this risk I should only give him time."
Baahubali 2 continues to have a winning
streak at the box office and is unaffected by
the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
Prabhas' Baahubali 2 created almost 33 box
office records in just 7 days. The film has
also become one of first Indian movies to
remain on the second week in the US box
office top 10 list. No wonder the team
is ecstatic. And yes, as far as Prabhas fee
hike is concerned we think he totally
deserves it. The actor will next be seen in
Saaho and also confirmed to BollywoodLife
that a romantic movie is in the pipeline.
