I still don't understand why this is a problem for Tamils? It has signs in the dominant regional language, the most understood language in India and the most understood language in the world(not really true, but you get the point) to reach the maximum number of people possible. It's the same in most states. Read whatever you want to man.

Union of States is to mention India was the coming together of separate states who had their own language, culture, etc etc.

Education was removed from State List, and that is one big issue.

i clarified bcoz i thought the term(union of states ) might confuse people who are reading this thread. 😆😆😆
(and mentioned U.S bcoz in this thread only i have seen some members giving examples of US federalism )

education is in concurrent list (in 1976) and i think it is totally justified . see education was put in the concurrent list bcoz uniformity in education and development of educational institutions all across india was desired. how would UGC/CBSE/ICAR , reservation, opportunity to minorities, development of research etc will work otherwise. education is mentioned in DPSP/ fundamental rights/fundamental duties.so putting education in concurrent list is totally justified. promoting hindi is mentioned in our constitution. so i would say promote both hindi and english along with local languages in respective states. problem solved.

can you plz mention which act of railway you are talking about? bcoz indian railways act doesnt mention anything like that or at least i have never come across it.
infact IRA clearly have provisions of providing services in english/hindi and the regional language.i can quote the provisions if you want.

Hindi is what's replacing the local languages. You can see it in the way tickets, airplane announcements, highway markers, etc etc have all moved to Hindi.

I find it funny when this regional movie vs. BW movie debate reappears once in 2 yrs😆. I mean it's individual's choice and yes I DO find regional movies shitty including 90% of Bengali Movies. I can hardly tolerate 1 bong movie a year (if the director is Srijit or Shiva-Nandita)😕Rest all are crap.😆Oh kill me for that🥱.

In all my senses, I feel both BB1 and BB2 are HUGELY overrated movies😕And yes, even after this I would anyday pick BW movies over SI or as a matter of fact most regional movies.Ignorant or not.

Stopped watching Bengali movies long ago.. Mainstream bengali movies nowadays are such an embarrassment nowadays.. Esp those Deb and Jeet movies 🤢 EVERY second bengali film nowadays is about a rich girl and poor boy and the boy winning the girl after fighting hundred goons with 5 tacky songs thrown on between danced by actors who cant dance to save their life and overdose of overacting by leads 🤢 And then there is parallel cinema which go over my head and are utterly boring .. Such a bad phase for Bengali cinema ! And to think that there was a time when Bengali fikms used to be so good .. Every thing is lost now I only watch Feluda/Byomkesh movies and nothing else.. 😆

Bollywood altleast has better actors and produces a few good fikms on different themes .. So yeah.. I too would pick BW over regional anyday
