Abhishek to replace SRK in Gustakhiyaan.

Abhishek Bachchan is on a signing spree
after a hiatus. After having signed films
with Prabhudeva and Priyadarshan,
Abhishek Bachchan is set to sign his film
with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Bhansali produces Gustakhiyaan which is
directed by writer Jasmeet K Reen. The film
is based on the love story between
celebrated Indian poet and lyricist Sahir
Ludhianvi and writer Amrita Pritam.
First it was Farhan Akhtar whose name was
tossed up to play the male lead. And then
Irrfan Khan was being considered. Irrfan
backed out of the project and Shah Rukh
Khan was being spoken to.
Somehow Shah Rukh is out of the project
now because of issues with the heroine
Priyanka Chopra and now Abhishek
reunites with the girl who he named Piggy
Chops - Priyanka.
Abhishek and Priyanka have earlier worked
together in the semi hit Bluffmaster for
Rohan Sippy and the flop Drona helmed by
Goldie Behl.

she is doing really well and unless she is sure of the director or her role..doing a movie opp ABjr as a solo lead..is mega risky..think through PC!! anything.with abhishek in lead gives me disaster vibes..drona..all is well..his first 15 back to back flops..raavan..list just doesn't end

I doubt the authenticity of this article though because they failed to mention PC-AB worked together in Dostana too. Anyways the story is about Amrita Pritam's life so there will be three male leads opposite her. I don't think this movie is happening until a while though, pretty sure her next is a triller direct by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury (Pink director) and there's even news of Kalpana Chawla biopic

SRK was never offered this movie. It was just Raees promotion. After the rumour went on for a couple weeks and Raaes released SRK himself clarified he was never offered this film.
