So KJO has the rights and he has the director. All he needs to do juggad for money and his so called political trouble will be over. 😛

I thought why not play the game of who can play the characters-

Source - Wikipedia.
Shiva - The main character in the story. He is a Tibetan immigrant to Meluha and the chief of the Guna tribe. On arriving in Meluha and consuming the Somras, his throat turns blue making him the Neelkanth of the Meluhan legend, which speaks of the appearance of Neelkanth as a destroyer of evil. The Meluhans end up believing that Shiva would be their saviour.

Sati - The Meluhan princess, she is the daughter of emperor Daksha. Shiva falls in love with her but cannot marry her because of a law that considers her to be a Vikarma, an untouchable. Vikarmas are people who bear misfortunes in this life due to sins of their past births. She is a skilled swords-woman and is very brave since childhood.During the course of novel she marries Shiva and bears his child.

Nandi - A captain in the Meluhan army. A loyal devotee of Shiva, who is often considered for his opinion and suggestions by Shiva.

Veerbhadra - A captain of Shiva's army and his close childhood friend. He was later renamed as Veer Bhadra, a title earned by once defeating a tiger single-handedly. He seeks Shiva's permission, the leader of Gunas, to marry Krittika.

Brahaspati - The chief Meluhan scientist who becomes Shiva's good friend. Though he does not believe the legend of the Neelkanth, he believes that Shiva is capable of taking Meluha to its new glory.

Daksha - The Emperor of the Meluhans, he is appreciative of every effort that Shiva does to save his country.

Kanakhala - The chief minister of Daksha's royal court, Kanakhala is an extremely learned and intelligent woman, who gets into verbal conflicts with Parvateshvar regarding Shiva.

Parvateshvar - Head of Meluhan Army and a Suryavanshi, Parvateshvar is critical of Shiva's ways with the Meluhans, and is loyal to Daksha. He eventually becomes an avid follower of Shiva as he realizes that Shiva could actually lead them to victory and finish Lord Ram's Unfinished Task. He is a good follower of Lord Ram.

Ayurvati - The Chief of Medicine, Ayurvati is an intelligent and revered woman, who is capable of curing any disease. She is the first to realize that Shiva is the "Neelkanth", their savior.

Princess Anandmayi - Head of Chandravanshis who believes Neelkant will lead them to victory against Suryavanshi

I haven't read this book yet. But I hope to read it pretty soon. Thanks for sharing all this info. 😃 I hope a good director notices this story. 😳
There is one other mythological-contemporary thriller, on which I'd love to see a film being made. "The Mahabharata Secret"; By- Christopher C.Doyle."

Plot Synopsis: The book follows the journey of Vijay after he returns to India on learning that his Uncle "Vikram Singh", a retired nuclear scientist has been brutally murdered. Just before he was murdered, Vikram Singh leaves a series of e-mails with riddles and puzzles for Vijay.

As he returns, Vijay understands the significance of the said e-mails & riddles. Caught in emotions for his late Uncle, wishing to understand the meaning of his last message to him Vijay is soon caught in the web of new complexities present before him. Dangerous, life-threatening men follow him and his friends like a shadow while they continue their pursuit of the secret Vikram Singh had guarded with his life. Their trail leads them to places destinations and places, possibilities of which were unthinkable before. They visit the world of Ancient India when Mauryan Empire was at its pinnacle under the rule of "Ashoka the Great"; and mysteries, myths related to the stories of great Indian Epic "Mahabharata".

What is that secret which Vikram Singh had to guard with his life? What is that mystery unveiling of which might pose a threat to the world? Who are those men who killed Vikram Singh? Why those terrorizing men are now after Vijay and his friends' lives? These are the main questions around which the subject of the story revolves.

I have read all 3 parts. After reading 2 parts, I was so restless that ordered part 3 on very high price😆.
KJO can't make a movie like this. The canvas is very large, it needs construction of towns and other systems, jungles , war scenes etc.

It can't be made at a small level. So those rights will remain dormant with KJO

Its scale is much larger Megs.
It needs to construct 2-3 different types of towns, 3-4 Wars, it can be made in 3 parts .
Its on the scale of Lord of the Rings.

Let someone in Telugu or Tamil industry do this, them seem to handle these big-budgeted magnun opus very well. They aren't scare to shed money on a movie they believe in and the producers give lot of liberty to the filmakers.
Karan and Aditya are always meddling in the movies they produces. Only Sajid N. seems to have the means and open mindness to finance such projects.
