Aven: VD was OSCAR nominated!! For Thr Help. And ya she's been nominated for a no.of prestigious awards but don't think she ever won. Murder helped her a 100000 tonnes b/c she headlines the show & no-one really saw her as a lead before even though they all know she's better than even Streep! Only after this show has she got all this super success, turned Producer, won the Emmy making history, got a * on HWOF! All sorts of awesomeness!!! And she's sooo humble, so funny & seems so lovely!!

I knew someone will say this

In terms of popularity

HTGAWM obviously helped her reach to wider range of audience (especially younger age group). People like me who are in touch with American media only through TV got to know such gem of person/actor. Media started to highlight her more

And the work she is producing on HTGAWM must be one of her best. She is getting lot to work on, experiment in terms of her acting range. She is getting a chance to be an actor!!
