To convince the director.. sometimes to convince audience -- Dekho iss ladke/lakdi ne 200 ladke/ladkiyon ko haraya hai.. iss mein dum hai, boss.

But the reality is.. that industry girl/boy had taken classes at Lee Strasberg or Anupam Kher's school.. worked as an AD... knows how to act in front of 100 judging eyes and where the cameras are.. when to look at the camera.. wagera wagera.. obviously s/he'd be less nervous.. s/he'd be brimming with confidence.. (Like PC said on KWK.. that the casting people of the channel thought she is SOMEONE). Directors will pick him/her over other nervous amateurs.

Agar outsiders nervous armature naa bhi ho... aur over-confidence dikhaye toh bhi situation lose-lose hi rahega. "Outsider hai phir bhi itna ghamand!" "Teri majal!" *throws chappal*

In her next biggie Padmavati she will be overshadowed by Shahid-Ranveer cat fights. She lobbied for this film because she didn't have any more big project to lobby for.

Even Majid Majidi refused her or his next.

Perhaps thats why only in Dangal we had proper debutants. They didnt have much experience apart from ads/roles done as kids etc. Sanya and Sana were describing the training they underwent. No starkid would go thru so much pain to prepare for a role when they can have much easier debuts.

It is too early to write her off. IMO she should sign some movies that are not period dramas.

To save face

Nowadays people notice and makes halla about nepotism a little more than say 5 yr back.
However A3 also went through such fake audition and then relased the audition tapes for people tomock
