Shabana Azmi in Neerja

Swara Bhaskar in Nil Battey Sannata

Fatima Sana Sheikh in Dangal

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Tapsee Pannu in Pink

Just watched Dangal and totally bowled over by Fatima's performance, what an emotional powerhouse she is 😭 👏 She's not the lead but imo best female performance this year, better than Alia or Sonam. Anushka should take lessons from Sakshi Tanwar on how to make an impact on audience without overacting.

Oh God. My top would be Radhika in Parched, Alia in UP, Vidya in Kahaani, Taapsee & Kriti in Pink. Hard to pick just one because there have been *such* good performances this year from women.
