Besides the red carpet, where you can witness the presence of the who's who of Bollywood, performances by actors add to the glitz and glamour of awards ceremonies. From Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan to Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor, celebrities have performed at many award shows. The same holds true for Shahid Kapoor, who performed at an awards ceremony recently.
Feminism has come a long way, no longer misunderstood term: Monica Dogra

A source reveals, "The actor was asked to perform to a medley of hit songs from the '60s to the '90s. The list included tracks such as Roop tera mastana' (Aradhana; 1969) and Jumma chumma de de' (Hum; 1991). The actor also performed on Dholi taaro', from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's hit 1999 film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (HDDCS)."
Apparently Shahid himself suggested that he dance to Dholi taaro'. "Shahid will be seen opposite Deepika Padukone in Bhansali's next film, and is being mentored by the film-maker. HDDCS is one of Shahid's favourite films, and the song Dholi taaro' is close to his heart. The organisers had prepared a bank of songs that they wanted Shahid to perform to, but since this song is his favourite, he suggested that he perform to this track as well. HDDCS was released before Shahid entered the industry, and he feels fortunate to be working with Bhansali, whom he admires a lot."
