I think 90% of them don't. So IMO BW stars waste their time, energy, and money promoting their movie on Kapil's, JDJ, Tarak's.
Agar yeh log theaters mein jaate toh Tulsi/Parvati aaj big screen ki superstarni ban jaati... Ramaiya Vastavaiya/A Flying Jatt ko ATBB status mil jata.

P.S. By small screen audience I meant soap and reality show lovers, not news, talk show, sports and other show watchers.

Yes very much! Mostly for their favorite actors ie old timers like Big B, Akki, Khans. Among the newer actors people like SSR, Fawad who did shows which were popular among housewives. Shows that were popular among teenagers...stars of such shows mostly get into BW and hence dont get much traction. And yes TV stars have to do A list projects otherwise there is no awareness. Thats why Amar Upadhyay failed despite being very popular at one time.

Of course they do lol! I don't think going to kapil is a waste of time! It is a good influencer!

Audiences watch small screen as well as big screen. Infact, small screen is the daily source of entertainment to aam janta and nobody wants to hit the theatres everyday or more often. So I guess promoting films on TRP laden tv shows is one of the best ways to reach a lot of common people.

I happened to ask this qs to some single screen viewers yesterday after I read your topic 😆
Many of the viewers are not interested, they'd rather sit and watch daily soaps at home...acc to them, movies are no longer family friendly...
Another thing I found out is that the people who don't watch these shows go for movies but then they watch English and American shows...
I kinda noticed that many of these daily soap viewers are 40+...and younger than that people are working and can't watch...there are exceptions to everything tho lol

I think about all these topics from a neutral point of view...coz mujhe kaunsa affect hone wala hai lol
Lack of family films have actually caused a reduction in people going to theatres...the last film where I saw poori poori family at the theatre was PRDP!
Another thing is that youngsters nowadays don't get time to go for movies all thanks to studies...sab online dekhte hai
