This Composer Is A Miser

This multi-talented composer's songs are huge hits and he enjoys great fan following among the masses. However, he is extremely unpopular among his own fraternity, especially the singers. Reason: He doesn't pay them a single penny.

Yep, you read it right. Even if the songs go on to become chartbusters, the singers walk out with nothing more than a few words of praise.

So, why aren't they protesting? Well, that's like asking who'll bell the cat. The man in question is too much of a biggie to be locked horns with. Also, once they deliver a hit, even if it is for free, it does land them a few shows, concerts, etc.

A veteran singer, who had debuted with this composer more than 5 years ago, told us her sob story the other day. Turns out, she is still waiting for him to pay up -- most probably, in vain. That's not all -- a newbie recounted the horrors of doing concerts with him. According to this upcoming singer, the artistes are made to stay in cheap, shabby hotels and have to travel economy class. The composer, on the other hand, enjoys the luxuries of business class travel and seven-star accommodation.

Tch tch... this is what we call hitting a bad note.
