People always laugh at me when I tell them how much I loved Yaadein. Yes it had its wacky moments, especially the Subash Ghai style songs, but overall I think it is such a lovely movie.
There are so many things I loved about the movie. I loved Hrithik and Kareena's characters! I loved how they start out as friends (friendship between lovers is such a rare thing in Bollywood movies) and even when they break up she tries to remain his friend. She plays such a sensible character in the movie. She is clearly a very strong girl who has achieved success on her own but at no point does she scream it out loud like many "strong" female characters do in movies. She is also somewhat traditional, cares about her father's wishes, but again it is believable. She never comes off as weak. I loved her friendship with her dad.
I loved Hrithik's character too.
