Ranveers talent was always there and was always appreciated by all the big directors and audiences only likes you because of the characters you play and the person you are. The only thing that DP did was keeping his personal life in the news. Was it only a positive effect for him?

No, there were a lot of people who didnt like him and media made him look like a fool especially the more hits DP got in 2013 they ridiculed him even more in Ram Leela the pairing was the usp and the trailer was really good of course DPs hits and her presence in the movie brought attention but it guarantees not a 100cr movie.

Ranveer started really early with experimenting in movie genres while most youngsters do urban characters. He was a newcomer with BBB and had LvRB after that a risky gap for a newcomer till Lootera released so how much can Lootera collect at that time. Gunday had almost the same opening day collection like RL still recovered the money then KD it was a bad movie and a DDD which was average thx to budget. So if we mention a DP than we have to mention a PC too😉 Ranveer signed actually all those movies before Lootera released.

People started to love him because they got to know him the more they saw and the others hated him even more. He got to know DP very early in his career while she was almost established thats why people want to credit his success to her or his relevance in the industry.
