I am not expert in dance too have few years of learning experience in Bharatnatyam...but achhe achhe ko Kathak master karna muskil hota hain trust me for that..Uska technique, posture, expressions everything is difficult to learn and execute..to me its the toughest Indian form. Madhuri has been learning Kathak for years and she mentioned that Pandit Birju Maharaj used to scold her during Devdas because her postures gone haywire due to filmy dancing even after so many years of practice..I dont think Katy can surpass her in Kathak..Ash ka pata nehi

For the current lot seem very bad at dancing. So I would like people like Kat who can dance to do a Indian number too.

Everyone is complaining about her aggressive moves which seems vulgar and not very graceful..i hope she can make rectify with Indian classical forms.

I know Kathak is one of the most difficult indian dance form alongside bharatanatyam. That said we cant judge till we see her dancing na. As for Madhuri, she was amazing in Devdas. Everything was on point. Btw you mentioned how she cant do western numbers. Eventhough not as memorable but I guess whatever she did in Que Sera Sera can be considered western? She managed to match up to PD.

WORD. You have exactly worded my thoughts. She has the moves on her side and now that I hear she is trained in Kathak, I would definiltely wait to see her perform Kathak onscreen. She should definitely be given the chance to.

She might do good
People say she does only aggressive steps or whatever vulgar terms attached to it...but if you look at Pashmina...you can see the subtlety and grace there...wish it had a better team promoting it

It was during interval of Dishoom screening... it was like in your face, all the movements and the bones .
I like Siddharth so all was compensated 😆

All she does is shakes her booty and thrusts her chest in camera. Super Annoying in Kala Chasma.

Kamli was all robotic. Jumping. I saw no dance.

I like her in Chikni Chameli the most. And Sheila. Her best is Just Chill Chill. I loved her when she was lil plump and not so sukdi.

Apart from that.. her dance lacks grace big time. Kala Chasma steps needed her to control her energy but she was over doing the hand steps while Sid was perfect there.

Don't want to drag in DP n m not even comparing, but even she lacks grace in her dance. I think it has something to do with their heights. No classical dance suits Tabu. They all look weird & stiff to me.

So, please spare Kathak and Bharat Natyam ladies.

Aapko Key Sara sara yaad hai? Dil To Pagal hai? Aaja Nach le starting mein Mads dance?

Madz can outdo these katrinas, Deepikas anytime, any dance forms.

Sorry for going off topic. As for your post Hermione, I agree. Kats too aggressive. Even in Kala Chasma, she was all jumpy. I see no grace.
