Maybe they were, Ranveer grew up in bandra where a lot of Kids from the industry also grew up, so it's possible they went to the same schools Aswell

i knew it from 2011
there was a interview where he mentioned about arpita was her class mate in school
and salman also came as guest in their school once . ranveer performed some school act where salman was present as a guest
so salman praised about his performance to arpita at home
and next day arpita told ranveer
