Tiger wants to establish himself as action star?? LOL

If these stars do a female-centric movie, these movies may not remain female-centric. These movies will run based on their popularity and will make money due to them... and the actress in that movie will be pushed away from the focus. I think it's totally okay if some movies out there do not have prominent male actors and just ride on the female character/actor.

There's a movie 'Damini'. it had Meenakshi Sheshadri, Rishi Kapoor and Sunny Deaol (all established actors at that time). Sunny's role as the lawyer is still remembered till today and even Meenakshi got the role of a lifetime in Damini. Now, if the movie only had Meenakshi with two other lesser know actors instead of Sunny and Rishi then I don't think so many people would have gone to theaters to watch the movie and neither would it have been possible to portray the lawyer's character in movie with such a great impact as had Sunny...and people would have been devoid of a gem like 'Damini'.

Ab Tiger jaisa newcomer abhi se female oriented movies karne lagega to usko fir aise hi roles milne lagenge future me...established stars can take risks but not the newcomers for the fear of being typecasted in such roles... problem ye hai ki Tiger ne yahi baat bina laag-lapet ke keh di...result - he becomes an MCP while the rest who are faking it become mahatmas!

btw no stars would ruin their name, its not about doing women centric films its about your image. if u start doing supporting roles your fans most likely will turn away unless u r really established like khans.

when u say srk did anjaam, he was still the focus point and mind u that was in the beginning of his career.

the other 2 movies don't count 'shakti, army' they're not supporting roles, they're special appearance and a cameo.

when they know that they're doing cameos and they know that the audience knows that then they're fine with it then be it in women oriented film like shakti or even in a b grade film like 'dulha mil gaya' it makes no difference.

someone pointed out damini but sunny again wasn't really supporting, in his head he was doing a 'special appearance' which he was and as far rishi kapoor is concerned, he was finished in the 90's, he was taking up anything he could be it a dewaana or daraar or damini.

u r asking a hero to play 2nd fiddle to a heroine when he is in his prime? why should he do that? his fans go to watch him, they want to see him shine not play 2nd fiddle to some actress just so the PC community can be satisfied or applaud him.

I can guarantee u if the actresses had the same pull as the male guys, they wouldn't play 2nd fiddle either. if they had the power, they would be the leads, the thing is they don't bring in the moolah so even when they try they most likely fail or need those other movies (male oriented) for their female oriented movies to succeed.

tiger's dad did all kinds of rubbish movies in the 80's and 90's, playing 2nd fiddle to anil, sanju even kader khan and a dog, what good did it do to him? it only damaged his image and got typecasted in similar roles. once u start doing them, producers and directors cast u only in those kind of roles.

I saw his interview with anupama in which he clearly says which he put it nicely as its his dad that 'my dad was too generous' and I wouldn't want to do that as the competition is too tough out there, I've to plan and choose wisely, one wrong move and I'm out.

I believe he wouldn't play 2nd fiddle to any guy either so its not about women or men, its about playing 2nd fiddle be it to an actor or actress, as long u have choice no one should do that.

actions > words

none of them in their actions have proved it yet. most are politically correct and diplomatic. we need to stop going on words so much. these people bullshit a lot.
