Will Sonu Nigam ever bounce back as the regular mainstream melodious singer as he was in late 90 and all 2000 . Will he ever in this arijit ankit era? Or with time he will lose the fame like udit narayan n kumar sanu are two vanished outdated voices many from new generation new kids dont even know their names, its a pain...to me Sonu is the last hope of melody for me...i hope he dont vanish from the scene as he already singing less for films last hit was sarbijit's Dard... He have sang in Raees but its delayed till next year...though he admits that its not going to happen that phase where he was singing every song will not come again as times have changed...

As a singer, he has perfect notes compared to Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan. His trained voice can provide variety (He can sing Hindustani classical, ghazal or western compositions). If we consider voice quality alone, he should stay longer. But difficult to say anything in autotune era.

I can relate to this post because tastes are changing and my faves are no longer dominant. But the good thing is, you always have their music and you don't necessarily have to like songs that come with the time you live in.

I grew up with South music and SPB. I found Rafi on my own, I don't even think he was alive when I did. TBVH my knowledge of Rafi era songs are better than even Udit Narayan, Sonu, Kumar Sanu era. I am stuck on that era for Hindi music and no apologies. My taste is what it is and the music these great singers have produced live beyond them or the eras they recorded them. So you will always have Sonu, Udit, Kumar Sanu or whoever you love regardless of whether they record new music or their brand of music is not popular.
