Do people in abusive relationships?

Was reading a magazine so I came across an article stating that people in abusive relationships finds it difficult to say in happy or mutual relationships so much so that they themselves try to create drama or provoke the new partner(non abusive one)to abuse them.isnt it weird have you been through someone like this😲

Yup. You call them shit stirrers. They come and ask you how they look in that jeans. And God help you if you speak your mind.

I don't think it happens to all abused people. But yes, a certain percentage of abused people are forever affected in that it shapes all their other relationships in terms of how they behave and how they expect their partners to behave.

Sometimes it happens that they get into a situation where they think that the other person loves them only if they are possessive or slightly aggressive, and they can try and make their new partner more aggressive. Sometimes they carry guilt and feel that they don't deserve happiness, so they try and create a situation where they'll be alone or unhappy again, which is the most familiar situation to them. Some people can get addicted to drama - loud fights, big breakups and makeups, extended tense periods and then prolonged reconciliation and so on. The worst cases are those where victims of abuse revisit that on other people -i.e. a person who was abused as a child abusing other children, someone who was hit regularly as a child hitting their own children and so on.

What can one say? People are complicated.
