Salman-Kabir movie to have a larger than life political backdrop

Official : Director Kabir Khan has Confirmed that the shooting of his next film with Salman Khan will start in July 2016 and it is slated to release on Eid 2017.

After delivering two blockbusters with Salman Khan -"Ek Tha Tiger" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", director Kabir Khan says for the third project with the super star he will be exploring "larger than life political backdrop". Kabir will start shooting for the film from July

"I will start shooting with Salman in July. The film will have a larger than life political backdrop to it," Kabir said here.

The director shared an update about his next project when he was in the national capital for the 63rd National Film Awards ceremony on Tuesday. His "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was named as the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

Kabir Khan says his next film with Salman Khan will push the envelope & it is a great & compelling humane story set in larger than life political backdrop.

While interacting with a leading daily, Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan revealed that his next film with Salman Khan will be a human story set in a larger than life political backdrop. He said,

"It's a compelling human story which like all my other films has a larger than-life political backdrop."

Kabir Khan revealed that Salman Khan loved the story of his upcoming film which is set for Eid 2017 release.

"If I had felt the pressure, then after Ek Tha Tiger I would have made another action-packed Tiger that would have excited the distributors and not a warm, human story about a little girl. This time too, I went to Salman and after the narration he sad simply, Great story, let's make it.' said Kabir Khan.

Like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, this one too will be produced by Kabir Khan along with Salman Khan under his banner, Salman Khan Films. The director revealed that he would try to push the envelope further.

"It's an interesting time for Salman and me. We enjoy a good working relationship and this is our chance to push the envelope. This film will be produced by him and I will line-produce it."

The yet untitled film releases in Eid 2017
