I guess it was already a heated issue and they were dilly dalling and having second thoughts about their decision but when the athletes kicked out of stadium issue happened it was a done deal that something needed to be done. You dont bite the hand that feeds you.

There is link. Where did I mention that Salman was kicked off? Salman was simply side lined. This only happened bcause the powers that be no longer deem him fit to be effective.

What is misleading about this? The task that Salman was assigned is now gone to Sachin to connect with the athletes. Salman is simply reduced to being the entertainment ambassador. This seems like a last ditch attempt to save some of his shame but it is what it is. Bhai was pushed aside and somebody was made to step into his role.

With a sport icon of Sachin's stature anyone else will be secondary. But Sachin is a true sportsman on and off the field as well as a perfect gentleman and diplomat so I am sure all three will gel together perfectly to project the Rio Olympics to the public.
