Indian constitution doesnt allow dual citizenship

People get confused with PIO and OCI(Overseas citizenship of India) card holders but those are not citizenship like Laxmi Mittal have one,

Akshay have to surrender Indian passport to get Canadian citizenship but he is still Indian citizen.

If anyone does have dual citizenship then it is a crime per Indian law.

So Akshay should clear the air.

I have a strong affiliation with Canada and also have dual citizenship. It's a place that I really love"the open terrain, the scenery, the wide roads and the clean streets. It's the complete contrast of my homeland, although I love India for all the opposite reasons and it's my home. I was honoured with a doctorate degree from The University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada, for my contribution to the Indian film industry and for my social work in Canada.

^ That means he has a citizenship right? He probably has an honorary citizenship from Canada which doesn't quality for any citizen rights

I saw honorary citizenship list from canada

Only 6 people had it including nelson mandela,malala etc

Akshay don't have it

He is? by birth or by marriage or adoption 😆

India does not allow dual citizenship. Akshay will have to relinquish Indian passport

If he has candian citizenship then he doesn't have indian passport , even if one has OCI then still you can't keep indian passport instead they give you another passport type blue book.

Amir ko kehna chahiye tha ki mere paas bas ek hi passport hai india ka ,kisi doosri country ka nahi hain😆

I heard that he has a house on Mississauga Road in Mississauga. It is probably richest area of Mississauga. Such huge bungalows.

I don't think his citizenship is the honorary kinds.

His is the usual PR to Citizenship kinda thing. No wonder few years back he had some back to back films shot in Canada. He was probably trying complete his residency requirement after getting his PR, in order to get his citizenship.
