I am so happy for Sonam ..Go Sonam and conquer the world

Soo soo happy for sonam!

Saw Neerja last night. I don't remember the last time I cried so much during a movie! Such an amazing movie, I didn't know who Neerja Bhanot was before this movie. Right from the beginning, I was glued to the screen. I really liked how the director presented two different stories (Neerja's family life and the terrorist preparing) and then merged them together. The acting by everyone was phenomenal. Sonam, my oh my, I am so so impressed! I also really enjoyed Khalil's acting and found him kind of good looking. 😆

I personally loved the singing bit. But that's just me. For me, I saw it as the terrorists taking away something Neerja loved (the song, Rajesh Khanna, singing) and turning it into something bitter. The emotions Sonam showed with the cracks in her voice showed Neerja's heartbreak so well.

Watched an interview where Sonam mentioned how she was so mentally exhausted during that scene that she literally couldn't stand and Jim was actually holding her from the back to keep her from falling and she was not supposed to cry the way she did and that's why at one point she sits down next to the kids while singing. Ram really has a different method of working.

Sonam is, and I think she agrees too, a directors actor and needs to work with more people like ROM and Ram and Aanand Rai and even Shashanka Ghosh. They get the best out of her.

Anyway, 5/5 from me.

P.S.: As a Pakistani, there was LITERALLY nothing anti-Pakistani presented in the movie. Such a shame that it is banned.
