Virat is already getting date offers after break up with Anushka

On a break, break up or a lover's tiff, it is clear that things are not all rosy in Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's relationship. After leading dailies gave their version of what might've gone wrong in their paradise, here's what we found out about their split.

A couple of days ago, a sportsman's wife promised her best friend a date with the sports star. If you think he has moved on, you are mistaken. The date never happened. Now whether the sports wife chickened out from asking the 'heartbroken' man to move on so soon or he turned down the offer is something we will never know.

Over the last three weeks, Virat has announced his break up to everyone in his close circle of people. But why isn't he coming clear on it despite reports? "They broke up because of lack of time with each other. It seemed to them that their relationship wasn't headed anywhere because the pressure of professional commitment was weighing heavy on them," says a source.

There are multiple theories about what could have gone wrong in this relationship. Work seems to be only a part of it. The other part is also Virat's unwillingness to shift base to Mumbai. It may be recalled that we were the first to report that Virat and Anushka were checking out flats to live in together. They had almost zeroed on a plush 5 BHK in Omkar 1973 in Worli. That plan never materialized for reasons unknown. What has come as a shock to all, is something friends had seen coming. "You need to know where things are headed. It is no blame game and neither is it anyone's fault. But over time you want more from your relationship which they both couldn't give each other. Had they started living together, things could've gotten better. Yes, it was too soon for marriage (Anushka declined Virat's proposal) but the long distance relationship needed more than their regular monthly meetings," says our source.

Anushka remains silent on all the rumours because she has apparently made up her mind to not be in this relationship. Virat, on the other hand, wants things to work but has eventually given up. So what's the status now? "Single!
